David J. Heintzelman
Licensed in 1981, David J. Heintzelman received an Associate of Applied Science degree from Northampton County Community College in Bethlehem, PA.  David is the supervisor of Heintzelman Funeral Home in Hellertown, PA.  In 2007, he was inducted as President of the Eastern Pennsylvania Funeral Director’s Association.

David and his brother, Robert formed Lehigh Valley Animal Crematory Services and David handles the daily operations.  He is a member of the First United Church of Christ, Hellertown, a Master Mason at New Temple Lodge #720, Allentown, Past President of the Hellertown Lions Club, and Chairman of the 250th Celebration of Hellertown’s Executive Committee, Chairman of the Saucon Valley Halloween Parade, appointed to the Northampton County Gaming Revenue and Economic Redevelopment Authority in 2012 and had served on various other committees.

He was elected Mayor for the Borough of Hellertown and inducted into office on January 2, 2018. David, his wife Nancy (Shay) and their four daughters and son-in-laws all reside in Hellertown, PA.

Diane Chernaskey was born and raised in Hellertown and graduated from Saucon Valley Senior High School.  She worked at Lehigh Valley Hospital for 31 years. After her work at the hospital, Diane retired and obtained a position with Saucon Valley School District.

Having a passion for animals, Diane opened the door for Lehigh Valley Animal Crematory Services, where she works as an Administrative Assistant.  Diane has been married for 36 years to Joseph Chernaskey and they have three children: Tara Rivers, Matt Chernaskey, and Adam (A.J.) Chernaskey.  Diane also has two grandchildren, Kaydence Rivers and Jordyn Rivers.  She also has some furry and feathery members: Cooper, Jack, Whitey, Lulu, and 40 chickens!
